Privacy Policy Planbord

Last updated: 02-04-2026

1. Who we are

Planbord is a family dashboard for planning, tasks, appointments, recipes and notifications. This policy explains which data is processed and why.

2. Which data we process

Depending on usage, we process data such as:

3. Why we use this data

4. Google connection (OAuth) and calendar data

If you connect Google Calendar, Planbord processes Google data only for the features you activate, such as showing calendars and creating, updating or deleting events for which your Google account has permission.

When using Google Calendar, data can include:

Planbord does not use Google data for advertising and does not sell that data. Processing is limited to requested calendar features inside Planbord.

5. Sharing with third parties

We do not sell personal data. Data is shared with third-party services only when functionally required (for example calendar or weather integrations that you activate yourself).

6. Service account for background synchronization

For background synchronization of shared family calendars, Planbord may use a Google service account. When an authorized user explicitly uses the "link calendar" feature in Planbord and grants permission, Planbord can technically share that calendar with the service account (read access) through the Google Calendar API.

The service account is only used to read calendars for synchronization in Planbord and not for advertising purposes.

7. Cookies and sessions

Planbord uses functional cookies and session data for login and secure access. Without these cookies, the service cannot function correctly.

8. Retention period

Data is kept as long as needed for the service or until you request deletion.

9. Security

We apply reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect data against loss, misuse and unauthorized access.

10. Your rights

You can request access, correction or deletion of your data.

11. Revoking consent and deleting data

You can revoke Google access at any time in your Google account (Security -> Third-party access), and/or remove the connection within Planbord.

After revocation, Planbord will not access new Google data through that connection. You can also request deletion of stored linked data within Planbord.

12. Contact

Questions about privacy or data processing? Please use the contact page. For privacy requests, include your account/family name so we can process your request correctly.

13. Changes

This policy may be updated when functionality or legal requirements change. The latest version is always available on this page with the update date.
